Managing Vulnerable People & Strategic Interventions for an Ageing Workforce

This first half of this session will be discussing Millennial or people born between 1982 and 1993 who are currently about a third of the workforce and will make up three quarters of the world working population by 2025. They are known for their loyalty to causes, dislike of traditional management approaches and job hopping. The topics covered in this session include effective communication strategies with young people, risk taking, managing inexperience and improving decision making.
The second half of this session will analyse what the implications of an aging population that has been encouraged to remain in the workforce means and how there are independent struggles that come with having an aging workforce. The topics covered in this session will be adapting duties to suit an older employee, flexible work arrangements and the importance of injury prevention strategies.
